About

Fluxarchitects is an award winning design studio based in London founded by Julia Backhaus. As a practice, we take great joy in working with a diverse range of activities and scales – designing buildings, installations, and exhibitions in tandem with teaching and research.

We are passionate about a collaborative design process and have worked with a broad spectrum of clients: from heart surgeons and choreographers to children and local communities. We embrace projects that are mission aligned and have a keen interest in health and architecture. Our attention to detail, economy and unique local contexts is uncompromised ; whether projects are small or large, temporary or permanent.
