Health Club, Cologne Germany, with ORMS

Situated in the heart of Cologne this RIBA awarded spa project is a cocktail of playful lighting and spatial experiences. An illuminated lift core visually connects the entrance area on the ground floor to the club on the second floor. As all the facilities had to be arranged on one deep floor plate, natural daylight is limited and the use of artificial lighting within a series of interconnecting spaces became the main focus of the design.
