Grade 2 listed house in Hampstead

In collaboration with AWA, this  grade 2 listed property underwent a significant refurbishment to transform it into a comfortable, low-energy house. A key part of this transformation involved the strategic use of natural materials, prominently featuring natural stone and sustainably sourced timber.

 

The energy requirements of the property were dramatically reduced,  through insulation, double-glazing, and improved airtightness and thoughtful selection of materials. The decision to utilize Grigio Alpi for all stone elements was driven by its low embodied energy, offering a natural and sustainable alternative to materials like polished concrete.
